Dear Families,
I hope you are enjoying your summer!
This letter is in regards to supplies for the 2009/2010 school year. The process we followed last
year worked very well. You might recall that last year we moved from having you go out and
purchase a very specific list of supplies for your child to asking you to contribute $25.00 per child
for supplies which the school then purchased. This method used less of your precious vacation
time and gas money and also assured continuity of product and great pricing, as Mrs. Miller was
able to buy in bulk. We would like to continue this process and are asking that you send a
contribution to school with your child sometime during the first week, either in cash or a check made
out to Hayes Home and School Club. The only items you may want to provide your child is a binder,
if the teacher requires one, and a backpack. A book bag will be provided for Kindergartners and
1st graders, compliments of Hayes Home and School Club. We will also continue to provide
complimentary Binder Planners for grades 2-6.
This method of procuring supplies will hopefully be less stressful and cost efficient for everyone.
Please, as always, feel free to express your concerns.
